Some random photos from some St. Louis wanderings.

New Jail

I went to photograph the grand opening of the new jail in Jefferson City, Mo. I'd never been in a jail before and this one was a lot fancier than I would imagine. Here's a couple shots I liked from it.

Russ Bemboom, jail superintendent at Cole County Jail, shows a tour group Friday what will become the evidence storage room for the new Sheriff's Office and Cole County Jail.

Belle Fennessey and Laurie Wildhaber look into a women's cell block Friday at the new Cole County Jail. The block has natural light coming in through the ceiling, and the lights surrounding it dim to match the outside light.

These are from a pretty big story on the Les Bourgeois winery in Rocheport, Missouri. This particular vineyard is in Fulton, Mo. and they sell their grapes to Les Bourgeois.

A typical shift at the Missourian

Rainy Day

One day Mr. Clint Alwahab, aka my editor, told me to go out and shoot weather pictures. Nothing newsy, just whatever I thought looked cool. It had been a really long time since I just wandered around and took pictures, and I had a lot of fun with it.
